We were on the 9th floor of our hotel when we felt it. The room swayed 6 inches in either direction. Woke up everyone in our hotel. Most remained calm, but there were a few that were borderline panicking. We all made it! Happy New Year!

I am staying at the Radisson Ambassador Hotel in San Juan. I am on the 8th floor. Was in bed watching tv when I felt irregular shaking. It came softly at first then got progressively worse. TV shook and the glass in the dividing panel wall was shaking. It subsided after about only 10-15 seconds. Haven't felt an aftershock.

Just as I was falling asleep the shaking began for 10-12 seconds.Im on a ground floor condo and it was pretty smooth.Did not panic but it's the hardest I've ever felt on the island.
