I was asleep when it started. My husband gets up around 6 every morning so I thought he was waking me up by shaking me. Nope. It was the earthquake. My whole room was swaying, and the bed was rhythmically rocking back and forth. I am living in Chania.0

I was in bed in a darkened room so I couldn't check the light was swinging but the walls (relatively new concrete house) were creaking. I grew up in New Zealand so I may be more sensitive to earthquakes than many people.0
