Earthquake details

Central Italy has been hit by several large earthquakes since August 2016:

Earthquakes sequence since August 24th

Aftershocks distribution and the two M6.5 and M6.1 shock locations compared to past regional earthquakes (August 24th, 2016 Amatrice earthquake, April 6th, 2009 l'Aquila earthquake and September 26th, 1997 Colfiorito arthquake).
Distribution of main seismic sequences in Italy from 1997 and the November 2nd, 2016. Latest earthquakes are located between the M6.1 Colfiorito earthquakes of 1997 and the M6.2 Amatrice earthquakes of the August 24th 2016. This new sequence seems to fill the existing gap between this two regions.
